Who is Michelle Branch?
A versatile, talented and well repected singer-songwriter, not to mention Grammy-award winning and multi-Platinum selling.

How long has this site been up?
michellebranch.co.uk is now in its 6th year of supporting Michelle in the UK!

How do I get to see or hear more of Michelle?
Michelle has an independent album 'Broken Bracelet' locatable on Ebay, two albums 'Spirit Room' and 'Hotel Paper' available from all good UK record stores and a forthcoming Wreckers album 'Stand Still, Look Pretty'. Also, see below for media clips of Michelle's promotional work in the UK (requires either Windows Media Player or Quicktime), or visit the media page on the old site, which has media clips and rare tracks (requires RealPlayer).

When will she visit the UK?
Michelle has visited the UK on several occasions since launching her mainstream career in 2001 (see list below)

January 2002: Michelle started her UK promo in January 25-30, of 2002 with radio promo, including BRMB in Birmingham, Glasgow radio, Picadilly Radio in Manchester and Capital Radio in London.
On January 31, 2002, Michelle played a 45 min industry showcase at the Sway, London, but due to a sorethroat had to struggle though and leave early.

Spring 2002: Michelle recorded TV appearances for GMTV (20/3), Liquid News (BBC Choice, 20/3), CD:UK (23/3), The Saturday Show (23/3) and Popworld (AYW) (24/3). She was also spotted on Nickelodeon (20/3), Big Breakfast (21/3) and ToTP, as well as further radio interviews on Capital etc.

Spirit Room was released in the UK in April, with 'Everywhere' (high of 18) in April too, and 'All You Wanted' in August (high of 33). Michelle recorded a 'piece to camera' for Popworld.

Summer festivals 2002: Michelle played various festivals including Princes Trust Party In The Park in Hyde Park, London, Feel The Noise in Sheffield, Summer XS in Dudley and Leeds Party In The Park.

December 2002: Michelle finished off the year in the UK appearing with Santana, in London's Astoria on December 16th 2002 as well as being featured on Santana's single 'Game of Love'.

2003: February: 'Goodbye To You' was pulled as a UK single release due to Michelle working on her new album 'Hotel Paper'. Michelle eventually released 'Hotel Paper' in June 2003 in both the US and UK. She also won a Grammy in February 2003.

June 2003: Michelle did UK promo for 'Hotel Paper' including GMTV (12/6), RI:SE (13/6), TotP (unaired), Nickleodeon, Popworld (20/6), Rock Profiles (11/7), MTV, Radio 2 etc.

Michelle also played in the UK at radio festivals including Southampton Power in the Park (where she acknowledged the UK branchies) (8/6) and SummerXS in Reading (8/6). Hotel Paper's first single 'Are You Happy Now' was released in June and reached an official 31 (midweek high of 19)..

September 2003: Michelle's follow-up single 'Breathe' not released in the UK.

2004: Quiet year: There was to be no 2004 UK promo or releases as Michelle concentrated on recording for the Wreckers. Early in January 2004, Michelle answered some questions for the UK fans.

2005: Spring: Michelle's new project, The Wreckers, a country-styled duo comprising herself and Jessica Harp, were due to release an album, but it has been delayed to late 2005, possibly early 2006. This may be connected to Michelle having a baby this year. :)

So, when will Michelle next play the UK?
Due to the constraints and costs of touring, it is most likely that we'll see some small gigs in conjunction with european promotions for The Wreckers album, possibly 2006.

NEW FOR 2005: Due to a new capture card and new source material, I've recently archived most of Michelle's UK tv appearances from vhs. It made sense to back these up, so these are being made available in a limited run DVD. However, they are only available internally (not for general or commercial release) for 'founding' or 'sponsor' members of michellebranch.co.uk. - Del (d3lf™)
